Earth, Fire, Water, Air

I have been nominated by Naomi, from ‘Almost Bananas’, to take part in a photo challenge, depicting the four elements – Earth; Water; Fire and Air.

Thank you, to Naomi for nominating me.  I am honoured.

Although I’ve missed the entry date for the travel competition, I love this concept, and so, here are my four photos.

Thanks to Wikipedia:

Aristotle related each of the four elements to two of the four sensible qualities:

  • Fire is primarily hot and secondarily dry.
  • Air is primarily wet and secondarily hot.
  • Water is primarily cold and secondarily wet.
  • Earth is primarily dry and secondarily cold.

Fire

Lamb kebabs, typical daily food in some cultures.

Air

Sadly, this photo doesn't do Mother Nature justice. The ice-cold air was moving so rapidly, that my lens froze.

Water

Beautiful, but not drinkable.
Beautiful, at high altitude.

Earth

At ground level and reaching to the heavens.
